The K-TS 30 represents the next generation of Komplet mobile trommel screeners, delivering high throughput in a compact, efficient design. Capable of producing three material fractions—fines, mids, and overs—it is well suited for a wide range of screening applications.
Its fully electric drive system powers everything from the hopper to the discharge conveyors, significantly reducing energy consumption, wear, and maintenance requirements. Designed for cost-effectiveness and performance, the K-TS 30 sets a new standard for compact trommel screening, making it an excellent choice for operators seeking efficiency, reliability, and low operating costs.
As the official Komplet distributor, we forecast equipment and parts a year in advance to have in stock what you need when you need it.
Our team has Komplet-certified equipment training and has setup a service provider network throughout the USA to service and repair your equipment when needed.

The K-TS 30 Compact Trommel Screener is rated at up to 60 cubic meters per hour (m³/hr), a volumetric measure reflecting the nature of the lightweight, bulky materials trommels are optimized to handle. Powered by a 23 kW onboard generator set with an electric drive system and weighing approximately 8,818 pounds, the K-TS 30 is the most compact trommel in the Komplet lineup — designed for smaller-scale organic material processing, compost finishing, topsoil screening, and municipal waste sorting where a vibrating screen’s aggressive action would damage or degrade the material.
A trommel screen separates material by tumbling it through a rotating cylindrical drum lined with screen panels. Unlike vibrating screens — which use aggressive vibration to move material across flat or angled decks — a trommel’s gentle tumbling action is ideal for fragile, sticky, or organic materials that would mat, blind, or degrade under vibration. Compost, green waste, soil, mulch, and lightweight mixed waste all perform better in a trommel than on a vibrating screen.
The trade-off is that trommels are generally slower in tons-per-hour terms than vibrating screens of equivalent size. The K-TS 30’s 60 m³/hr rating reflects its role as a quality-of-separation tool first and a throughput tool second — producing clean, accurately-sized output from materials that would otherwise be difficult to screen efficiently.
The K-TS 30 uses a two-stage drum arrangement with interchangeable trommel panels. The inner drum measures 5’6” × 4’3” and the outer drum 8’6” × 4’3”. The minimum separation size depends on the panel apertures selected for the application. Finer compost finishing typically uses a smaller aperture to produce a clean, consistent screened product, while topsoil scalping or green waste processing may use a coarser setting to maximize throughput. Contact Komplet America at 908-369-3340 for panel selection guidance specific to your material.
The K-TS 30 is designed for loose, free-flowing organic and lightweight materials that are fed into the hopper by a loader or conveyor. The trommel drum’s inner diameter (5’6” × 4’3”) sets the practical upper limit on feed piece size — any material larger than the drum diameter will not tumble properly and should be pre-sized or pre-shredded before entering the machine. Oversized wood pieces, large root balls, and bulky green waste clumps should be broken down upstream to maintain consistent drum rotation and separation quality.
On material type, the K-TS 30 is purpose-built for compost and green waste, topsoil and loam, mulch, leaf and yard waste, light mixed municipal solid waste, and similar materials. Its electric-drive system produces less noise and vibration than diesel-powered alternatives, making it well-suited for composting facilities, landscape material yards, transfer stations, and municipal recycling operations where site noise is a concern. It is not designed for processing hard aggregate, crushed concrete, or heavy demolition rubble — those applications call for a vibrating screener.
