The K-TS 40 builds on the performance of the K-TS series, offering increased screening capacity while maintaining efficiency and mobility. Like the K-TS 30, it delivers three material fractions—fines, mids, and overs—making it ideal for high-volume screening applications.
A fully electric drive system minimizes energy usage and reduces wear on components, lowering service and operating costs over time. With advanced functionality and robust construction, the K-TS 40 is designed for operators who need higher throughput without compromising efficiency, reliability, or ease of operation.
As the official Komplet distributor, we forecast equipment and parts a year in advance to have in stock what you need when you need it.
Our team has Komplet-certified equipment training and has setup a service provider network throughout the USA to service and repair your equipment when needed.
Our Komplet equipment experts help you select the right equipment, and help you learn how to get the most out of your setup.

The K-TS 40 Portable Trommel Screener is rated at up to 120 US tons per hour. Powered by a 40 kW onboard generator set with an electric-drive system and weighing approximately 25,353 pounds, the K-TS 40 is the larger of Komplet’s two trommel screeners. It is designed for mid-to-high-volume organic material processing and waste screening operations where the K-TS 30’s capacity would be the limiting factor in the production chain.
The up to 120 tph rating applies to suitable trommel feed material — loose, free-flowing organic or lightweight waste material fed consistently into the hopper. Wet, heavily clumped, or sticky organic material — such as partially composted green waste or high-moisture soil — will reduce throughput and may require more frequent drum cleaning to prevent panel blinding. The K-TS 40’s larger drum dimensions (10.5’ × 4.6’ inner drum and 14.3’ × 3.7’ outer drum) provide more screening surface area than the K-TS 30, which improves accuracy and separation efficiency at higher feed rates.
Like the K-TS 30, the K-TS 40 uses interchangeable trommel drum panels sized to the specific application. The larger drum surface area of the K-TS 40 allows for more flexibility in panel selection across a range of aperture sizes while maintaining accurate separation at higher throughput. For applications requiring a fine finished compost product or a clean topsoil fraction, finer aperture panels are available. Contact Komplet America at 908-369-3340 to discuss the right panel specification for your material and target product.
The K-TS 40’s larger inner drum (10.5’ × 4.6’) accommodates bulkier feed material than the K-TS 30, though the same principle applies: material should be pre-sized to tumble freely within the drum rather than bridging across it. Large pieces of unshredded green waste, oversized wood chunks, or compacted clumps of wet material should be broken down or loosened before feeding to maintain separation quality and consistent throughput through the full drum length.
On material type, the K-TS 40 handles the same categories as the K-TS 30 at larger scale: compost and green waste processing, topsoil and loam screening, mulch production, yard waste and leaf material, municipal solid waste sorting, and light mixed waste classification. It is the right choice for composting facilities, large landscape material operations, and municipal recycling programs where the K-TS 30 would be undersized for the volume moving through the site. The electric-drive system keeps operating noise low, which is often an important consideration in community-adjacent processing facilities.
